Expert support for the Microsoft FinOps toolkit

All posts

Allyte · September 15, 2026

Allyte is open for business. We give teams that run the Microsoft FinOps toolkit direct access to the people who help build and govern it: coaching, advisory, and expert support across FinOps hubs, workbooks, alerts, and the wider toolkit.

Why teams choose the toolkit, and what that choice costs

Teams choose the toolkit because it’s standards-based, scales to the size of their data, and extends to fit how their business actually works. That’s also why it ships open source and as-is. As-is is the right call for an open source project, but it has one consequence worth naming plainly: Microsoft’s own documentation is explicit that Microsoft Support doesn’t handle support requests for the FinOps toolkit.

That’s fine, right up until a deployment needs tuning for your environment and policies, a number needs explaining before a leadership review, or a team wants to extend the toolkit in a direction the docs never anticipated.

That’s not a documentation problem

Most teams that run the toolkit never need to call anyone, and that’s how it should work. The ones who do are usually pushing it further: extending a hub, defending a number to leadership, or deciding what to automate next. Documentation can only describe the general case. Getting it running under your specific policies, permissions, and business rules is a different job, and it’s the job Allyte exists to help with.

What we bring

Allyte’s team includes maintainers of the Microsoft FinOps toolkit and members of its governing board. One of our founders created the toolkit and still chairs it. That’s the expertise behind the support we offer today: FinOps hubs and their AI integrations with GitHub Copilot and Claude for querying your cost data directly, plus workbooks, alerts, and the Azure Optimization Engine. It also covers Microsoft Cost Management and the FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification (FOCUS), for teams that haven’t deployed hubs yet.

Support comes in three shapes. Community is free, and it’s the foundation everything else builds on. Plus and Premium give teams a direct line to an expert, not a thread to wait on, sized to how much of that access a team needs.

FinOpsHubs.com is part of this too

FinOpsHubs.com is a free analytics experience that sits on top of the FinOps hubs deployment you already run. No Power BI license to buy, no reports to deploy, no copy of your cost data stored in a database we control. It’s in preview, and we’re opening access to more teams now.

Deploying, extending, reporting, scaling the practice: if you want an expert alongside your team, talk to us.
